FIRST DAY of BUCKETS SET TEAM BACK; PRACTICE DEEMED A DISASTER
Staff Writer 2/22/09

What was supposed to be a fun first day in helmets
turned out with coach Beeks walking away in disgust.
Practice was a let down today and it set us back three
weeks. I thought that we were ready to install the
offense and move forward with evaluating talent as far
as positions but was taken back at the guys
performance. I am mad as I can be about our actions
today. A strained voiced barely piercing the wind
swirling around a quiet huddle of players squeaked out
in repeated fashion the disappointment of coach
Beeks. We get in helmets and we practice like garbage
today. I was not prepared for this and it shocked me. I
was soaking in the indulgents of other teams looking at
us as a force to be reckoned it and it seemed with
good reason up until this point. Nobody had a good
practice; linemen didn't block wide receivers didn't
catch the passes that was close to them and Defense
is not working on techniques just running around
thinking they are getting it done. We should have been
stepping forward and we failed at all that we done
today. I felt that not only did I lose my team but they
lost it as well and we went through the whole practice
without me stopping practice to address the issue or
the players realizing that practice sucked today. Coach
Beeks in an unusual scene walked away from the final
huddle alone, visibly frustrated by today's practice
heard the players gathering closer together and held
their own meeting expressing the concerns of their
actions.
Coach Beeks walks away from practice frustrated.
