Greyhounds On Target at Kids Fest
said that," last year at this time we were still scrounging to find a field and were not in the position to get out and promote the
team as we usually do but we are a committed organization that promote through involvement in events such as the Southern
Kids Fest." We are still a team comprised of citizens from the community and I think that is why we have to get out and serve the
community because it belongs to us. This is the first event of the year for us and it was a huge success for the team. The titled
Southern Kids Fest is only one of the big events scheduled for the team according to Beeks in fact over the next couple of
weeks leading up to the season we will be involved in more events where the community and kids are involved. I have been
fielding interest about the Greyhounds from calls asking the Greyhounds if they could appear at field days and graduations and
that is what this team is about off the field and in return we hope that attendees will come out and support us at our games. We
will primarily focus on the Greer location as a concentration point to really pull in possible sponsorship and bigger local crowds.

We had a GREAT Booth set up and the visitors at the Southern Kids Fest stopped by to enjoy the Become a Greyhounds
picture theme and the On Target QB Challenge. The players were available at the event to pose for pictures with the kids and
help the kids with QB Challenge Game. The guys seemed to enjoy themselves and even a few of them signed autographs. The
popularity of the players carried over into the players getting involved in other activities on the Southern Kids Fest Main Stage.
The team volunteered to help in several different areas from carrying mats for the ROCK STAR cheerleading team (that will be
performing at Greyhounds games), participating in pizza eating contest, and a very bad rendition of Soldier Boy's Super Man(.
you have got to see this video). Enjoy the pictures from the 2009 Southern Kids Fest. Looking for your picture from the

The Greyhounds get back on track and hit
the ground running. Saturday the players
went back to work in the community by
getting involved with the Southern Kids Fest
at the Carolina First Center. The Southern
Kids Fest is a two day event held yearly to
promote activities and information about kids.
