PRACTICE CONTINUES DESPITE FRIGID WEATHER
|
Temperatures was as low as 13 degrees and the arctic
started off as a frigid cold afternoon gave way to some
warmer temperatures allowing the Greyhounds to get out
and practice. We had another surprising turnout against
adverse conditions that we have come to expect with
winter time conditions. Players drifted in as usual with the
majority being at the field earlier than usual , but still not
on time to begin training with others. This was the first day
that the players will really start to get into the cardio
training. As you will see conditioning is very intense and
involves a lot of running and stretching. We will be in the
best shape when we take the field against other teams in
our league. We will have T.C.B (total body conditioning.
Coach Beeks said that he has been hearing players say
that they are committed to the team this year with full
dedication, and now I see the dedication poor in with the
players turning out in numbers for practice despite the
weather. Now I am just waiting to see who is going to step
it up on the execution part. The team is coming together
and thats great. No griping, fussing, or arguments just
hard work and a desire to get better.
