| Greyhounds Holds Mini Camp for 2008 |
Saturday January 12 the Greenville Greyhounds football team held a mini camp to get players together for the 2008 season. 23 players participated in the event and several others cluttered at D1 Sports to see the event unfold. 14 veterans and 9 new talents showed up. Coach Beeks said that he was happy with the way the mini camp went but he was highly disappointed with the turnout of players. He said I was expecting more of my veterans to steep up this year. I expect them to there for these types of events. I believe that this is going to be a more talented group of guys to work with this year. We can never get enough linemen but we have a pretty good offensive line the only thing we didn't address was a true center. I saw some good receivers today Coach Beeks said. Our running game will be much more effective this year with our big backs, more important than anything we had three Quarterbacks at the camp. |
