Pre Season Game Being Discussed

Reddawgs have initiated contact with the Greyhounds

The Anderson Reddawgs contacted the Greyhounds office and briefly discussed
the annual game between the two teams. Nothing has been finalized but the talks
had been started laying the rest of the idea that the Reddawgs might have folded.
Reports from earlier in the year left doubt if there would be a game between the
Reddawgs and the Greyhounds, Coach Beeks confirmed the conversation
between he and Anderson Owner Tank had in deed taken place. Coach Beeks
said he still is no closer to knowing if the game is going to be played or not. "We
have to look at our situation and see what is going to be best for our team an if we
schedule this game it will be a new Step for us." Beeks referred to the SEAFL
league deciding to start earlier than usual and ahead of most of the other minor
league teams. The SEAFL is starting their league play in mid June and that's when
we are usually playing this game but because of the SEAFL's start that puts our
annual game in jeopardy unless we play it in May. I have to look at our position
and see if it is a viable option for our team. The rivalry has definitely been
beneficial for both organization and has grown to be an entertaining event. We will
hopefully have an answer by the end of the month.

Also on the table has been the much anticipated game against the Seminoles. Last
year the Seminoles took advantage of a young inexperienced team and exploited
obvious weaknesses in the Greyhounds game. It was a rough way to start out the
year losing to them but I also think that it was a lesson much needed by the young
players on the greyhounds team. Players now have the total experience under
their belts and have come a long way since that game. We hope that this year the
younger guys step up to the plate and establish themselves as veterans. I look
forward to meeting the Seminoles in late June.
