                                  At the NAFL's League
                                 Meeting held in Atlanta, Ga
                                 the Greenville Greyhounds
                                 became one of the three
teams returning to the Div. 2
                                 Carolina's division of the
                                 NAFL. Owner James Beeks
                                 (shown pictured to the left)
                                 had been a little unsure
                                 about where league wise we
would end up but after communicating with the Carolina Predator and the
Beaufort Broncos and being assured that they would be participating if we
all agreed reinforced my decision to stay with the North American Football
League. Schedules became the focus of the group as the meeting hoopla
over rules and a review of the good and the bad. Teams were viding early
for the opportunity to put the Greyhounds on their schedule as if last years
meager performances were easy wins, but the schedule platform was
already laid out and the only real discussion was which NAFL 1 team would
fill in as a crossover game for the Greyhounds. Right away the Asheville
Grizzlies worked around and finally the game was affirmed by both teams
and the Greyhounds schedule was set. Later in the scheduling process the
game between the Greenville Greyhounds and the Asheville Grizzlies  had
to be cancelled because of a conflict with the teams' conference games
which takes precidence of crossover games, leaving the Greyhounds
without an opponent for it's crossover game. The league officials assured
Coach Beeks that they would work diligently to fill those slots as soon as
possible. The Greyhounds schedule is set and the date have been finalized
and the greyhounds will kick off the 2008 season July 12th on the road and
the first home game will be July 19th. To see the remainder of the schedule
