| Greyhounds Join the Fight Against MDA (Muscular Dystrophy Association) |
| Today a meeting was held to discuss a partnership between the MDA (Muscular Dystrophy Association) as a joint venture to help raise funds to help find a cure and to send kids with the disease to camp. Beeks became interested in the MDA after being asked to participate in the MDA Lock-up and being overwhelmed with what his part included. I was not prepared for this when I first volunteered, but I thought what a great cause. I wanted to do more and just figured I could do more by using my avenue with the Greyhounds to better show my support to the organization. I called them to set up a meeting and they sounded enthused with the possibility. The meeting went better than I expected not only does it seem we will be raising funds for MDA but will be participating in many of their activities. MDA Lock-up in Travelers Rest and yearly Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon just to name a few. We are looking forward to meeting the families and interacting with them as new members of the Greenville Greyhounds.
