| NEW HOME FIELD FOR GREENVILLE'S TEAM |
| In an article written in the Greyhounds News Chronicle September 27th Owner James Beeks announced he had initiated a search to find a new location to host home games for the Greenville Greyhounds 2007 season. Well today an announcement was made that the Greyhounds had reached an agreement with Lakeview Middle School to use the field formally Travelers Rest High Schools Chico Boling Stadium. Beeks said that he had his sight set on this stadium since he learned that T.R. was getting a new field; I jumped on the opportunity as soon as I learned of the move. Having our own home field presented us with a great prospect for the Greyhounds to be the only team in the Upstate to have a field that we control. Showers, locker rooms, press box, a field where we can put the Greenville Greyhounds Logo: a true home field. The Greyhounds Logo on the field is going to look great. When visiting teams come to town they will know who the are coming to play. Greenville's first true home field is a huge accomplishment coming in the wake of Mrs. Hill's actions that caused such a controversy with her arrogant attitude and lack of understanding of how to deal with minor league football and what it took to get Southside High School to even consider allowing minor league football to take place there. Noone will be permitted to call Southside field home anymore. Beeks said he has received confirmation for his field and that the other teams are no concern of his. I made the mistake once of agreeing to trying to compromise to help the other teams and it backfired, but not this time. Every man or woman is on his on merit and ability of real knowledge to prove how successful he or she can be without Beeks help. I have set out to do what I wanted to accomplish just to let them know I have the knowledge of how to make this team work. My business plan is still on point of where I said I would take this team.
